Third, Gulfstream redesigned the wing to cut cruise drag and increase fuel capacity, pushing maximum range from 4,220 nm to 4,350 nm. Overall weight was reduced by approximately 500 pounds through the use of Kevlar and graphite-epoxy composites in parts of the cabin and engine nacelles.
