Private Jet to Ibiza: 2 Hours from London, 7 from New York, Straight into IBZ

A private jet to Ibiza costs $2,300 to $3,800 per hour in a light jet. That is the usual choice from London. Every private flight lands at Ibiza Airport (LEIB / IBZ), the island's only airport. Flight time is about 2 hours from London and 7 hours from New York. The 9,186-foot runway takes every jet size, but summer slots and parking must be booked in advance. Ibiza is in Spain and the Schengen Area, so non-EU passengers register in the EU Entry/Exit System on arrival. Hogani Jets coordinates every charter through licensed Part 135 operators or carriers approved by the applicable aviation authority.

Ibiza is one of Europe's busiest summer private aviation destinations, drawing villa stays, yacht weeks and club-season weekends. Almost all of that traffic arrives between May and October. The planning challenge is not the flight itself but securing a slot and a parking stand.

  • Skip summer crowds: the general aviation terminal is separate from the packed commercial terminal.
  • Your own schedule: in summer the airport runs around the clock, so late departures after a night out are possible.
  • One hop to the islands: Mallorca, Barcelona and Nice are under 90 minutes away by light jet.

Ibiza's summer rules for private jets

From May 1 to October 15, larger aircraft staying over three hours need parking approval first. Only once a stand is confirmed can the landing slot be requested. In summer the airport runs around the clock; winter opening runs 06:30 to 23:00. Friday and Saturday slots fill first.

Private passengers use Ibiza's general aviation terminal, with its own access road and parking. Several airport-authorised handlers serve it, and cars can meet the aircraft on the apron. The operator selects the handler, and Hogani Jets confirms it in your trip details.

Matt's Recommendation

In July and August, the aircraft is the easy part of an Ibiza trip. The slot and the parking stand are what sell out. I lock those in the moment dates are firm. If Ibiza is full, clients land in Palma and cross by helicopter.

Yes, from anywhere in Europe and nonstop from the US East Coast. Light jets cover every major European origin, while transatlantic flights need heavy or long-range jets.

  • London (Farnborough or Luton): about 750 to 780 nautical miles, 2 to 2.25 hours.
  • Manchester: about 880 nautical miles, 2.25 to 2.5 hours, with no need to fly via London.
  • Paris, Geneva and Milan: 1.25 to 1.75 hours.
  • New York (Teterboro): about 3,370 nautical miles, 7 to 7.75 hours nonstop in a heavy jet or Praetor 600.
  • Miami: about 4,080 nautical miles, nonstop only in long-range heavy jets and larger.

Charter to Ibiza is priced by the hour, by aircraft category. The runway takes every size, but summer parking favors smaller aircraft. Passenger figures are maximum capacity.

Which private jets fly New York to Ibiza nonstop?

New York to Ibiza is about 3,370 nautical miles. Heavy jets such as the Challenger 650 and Falcon 900LX fly it nonstop. The Praetor 600, with 4,018 nautical miles of range, does too with a normal load. The Challenger 350 needs a fuel stop, as does any midsize jet.

  • Passports: every passenger needs a valid passport. Non-EU citizens should check Schengen entry rules for their nationality.
  • Passport validity: at least three months beyond your planned departure from the Schengen Area, issued within the last ten years.
  • EES: non-EU visitors give fingerprints and a photo on first entry. The EU Entry/Exit System has been fully live since April 2026.
  • ETIAS: visa-exempt visitors, including US and UK citizens, will need this €20 online approval once it launches, expected in late 2026.
  • Flights from the UK: arrivals from London or Manchester clear Schengen immigration at the Ibiza terminal.
  • Cash: declare €10,000 or more when entering or leaving the EU.

Pets entering Spain need a microchip and a rabies vaccination given at least 21 days before travel. They also need an EU pet passport or an animal health certificate. Arrivals from the UK and US use a health certificate, not an EU passport. Many operators allow pets in the cabin, so tell Hogani Jets at the quote stage.

Every Ibiza quote is hourly and shows one all-in price. Quotes are in US dollars, so the sterling or euro cost moves with the exchange rate.

  • Peak weekends: Friday arrivals and Sunday departures in July and August book out first.
  • Parking stands: when Ibiza is full, the aircraft may drop you and reposition to Palma or the mainland.
  • Daily minimums: 2 billed hours for super midsize and smaller, and 3 hours for heavy and larger jets.
  • UK departures: Air Passenger Duty applies, with the highest rate on heavy jets of 20 tonnes or more.
  • Positioning: one-way flights at the end of summer can include the aircraft's return.

  • July and August: peak season, with the tightest slots and parking. Book three to four weeks ahead.
  • May, June and September: warm, busy and easier to schedule, with club opening and closing parties.
  • October to April: quiet, with reduced airport hours and some hotels and clubs closed.

Ibiza's club season runs roughly from May to October. Opening parties in late spring and closing parties in early autumn bring the heaviest weekend traffic outside peak summer.

Both are about 25 to 40 minutes from the airport by car. Many private jet clients rent villas instead, and a car can meet the aircraft at the terminal.

  • Dalt Vila: Ibiza Town's walled old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Formentera: turquoise beaches such as Ses Illetes, a short boat ride south.
  • Es Vedrà: the rocky islet off the west coast, best seen at sunset.
  • Beach clubs and marinas: long lunches on the coast, then an evening on a yacht.

  • Scuba diving: allow at least 24 hours between your last dive and the flight home.
  • Late nights: summer's around-the-clock hours allow late departures, but slots still apply.
  • Formentera day trips: boats and helicopters run on weather, so avoid a tight same-day departure.

Ibiza uses the euro, and Spanish and Catalan are the local languages. Summer days are hot, so pack light layers and sun protection. Book restaurants and beach clubs well ahead in July and August.
