A private jet to Dubai costs $5,500 to $20,000 per hour for heavy and ultra-long-range jets. Most private flights land at Al Maktoum International (OMDW / DWC), not the airline hub DXB. Flight time is about 13 hours nonstop from New York and 7 from London. US, UK and EU passport holders get a free visa on arrival. DWC runs 24 hours, with a 14,764-foot runway and dedicated private terminals. Hogani Jets coordinates every charter through licensed Part 135 operators or carriers approved by the applicable aviation authority.
Dubai sits between Europe, Asia and Africa, which makes it one of the world's busiest private aviation hubs. It draws finance, real estate and family office travel all year, and leisure demand every winter. For a private flyer, the key decision is not the city but the airport.
- A private airport of its own: DWC handles business aviation away from DXB, one of the world's busiest passenger airports.
- No connections: ultra-long-range jets fly New York to Dubai nonstop, with a flat bed and your own schedule.
- Simple entry for many passports: US, UK and EU citizens receive a visa on arrival, processed at the private terminal.
| Airport | ICAO / IATA | Runway | Hours | Notes |
| Al Maktoum International (PRIMARY) | OMDW / DWC | 14,764 ft (4,500 m) | 24 hours | Main business aviation airport. Several private terminals. About 40 minutes to Downtown Dubai. |
| Dubai International | OMDB / DXB | Two runways over 13,000 ft | 24 hours | Slot-controlled airline hub near the city. Private flights need slots, and handling is limited. |
| Sharjah International | OMSJ / SHJ | Over 13,000 ft | 24 hours | Alternate for northern Dubai and Sharjah. About 30 minutes from Deira. |
| Al Bateen Executive, Abu Dhabi | OMAD / AZI | Business aviation only | Check with operator | Dedicated executive airport for Abu Dhabi stays and Yas Marina events. |
Why most private jets land at DWC, not DXB
Dubai International (DXB) is a slot-controlled airline hub, and business aviation handling there is limited. Al Maktoum International (DWC) is Dubai's business aviation airport, with a 4,500-meter runway and 24-hour operations. DWC offers easier slots and parking for long-range jets. Longer stays usually mean parking at DWC even when passengers use DXB.
DWC hosts several private aviation terminals, run by established international handlers. Each offers its own lounge, customs and immigration, and ramp-side car access. The operator selects the handler, and Hogani Jets confirms it in your trip details.
| Handler at DWC | What to Expect |
| Jetex | Private terminal with lounges, on-site customs and immigration, and car access to the aircraft. |
| ExecuJet | Private terminal with passenger lounge, crew facilities and customs processing. |
| Jet Aviation | Private terminal and handling for long-range business jets. |
| DC Aviation Al-Futtaim | Private terminal with lounge and ground handling. |
| Falcon Aviation | Private terminal and handling, including helicopter connections. |
Matt's Recommendation
For almost every client, I land them at Al Maktoum, not DXB. You clear customs in a private terminal in minutes, and the car pulls up to the aircraft. There is room to park a long-range jet for the whole stay. DXB only makes sense when time in the city is measured in hours.
Yes, from most of the world, if the aircraft has the range. Distance decides the aircraft category, and a few routes need the longest-range jets available.
- New York (Teterboro): 5,950 nautical miles, about 12.5 to 13.5 hours nonstop in an ultra-long-range jet.
- Miami (Opa-locka): 6,810 nautical miles, nonstop only in the longest-range jets, otherwise one stop in Europe.
- London: about 2,980 nautical miles from Farnborough, Luton or Biggin Hill, 6.5 to 7 hours nonstop.
- Manchester: about 3,060 nautical miles, 6.75 to 7.25 hours nonstop.
- Mumbai and Delhi: about 1,040 and 1,200 nautical miles, roughly 2.5 to 3.25 hours.
Charter to Dubai is priced by the hour, by aircraft category. DWC's runway takes every aircraft size, so range and cabin decide the choice. Passenger figures are maximum capacity; long flights usually carry fewer.
| Category | Example Aircraft | Passengers | Hourly Rate | Best For |
| Turboprop | Pilatus PC-12 NGX, King Air 350 | 4 to 10 | $1,300–$2,500/hr | Short UAE hops: Dubai to Abu Dhabi or Ras Al Khaimah |
| Very Light Jet | HondaJet Elite II, Phenom 100 | 4 to 6 | $1,600–$2,800/hr | Quick Gulf trips for two to four passengers |
| Light Jet | Phenom 300E | 6 to 9 | $2,300–$3,800/hr | Regional hops: Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Doha, Riyadh |
| Midsize Jet | Citation Latitude | 8 to 9 | $2,800–$5,500/hr | Mumbai, Delhi and Gulf capitals nonstop |

| Ultra-Long-Range Jet | Global 7500, Gulfstream G700 | 16 to 19 | $9,500–$20,000/hr | New York and the US East Coast nonstop |
| VIP Business Jet | Boeing BBJ, Airbus ACJ320neo | 18 to 100 | $10,000–$60,000/hr | Large delegations and family groups |
Which jets fly New York to Dubai nonstop?
New York to Dubai is about 5,950 nautical miles, so only ultra-long-range jets fly it nonstop. The Global 7500, Gulfstream G700 and Gulfstream G800 have published ranges of 7,500 nautical miles or more. A Challenger 650 or Falcon 900LX needs one fuel stop, usually in Europe. Full cabins and winter headwinds shrink practical range, so always confirm nonstop capability with a full load.
- Passports: valid for at least six months from arrival. US, UK and EU citizens get a free visa on arrival for up to 90 days in 180.
- Other passports: Indian nationals qualify for visa on arrival only in limited cases, such as holding a valid US visa or green card. Otherwise, arrange an entry permit before departure.
- Manifest and permits: the operator files the passenger manifest and obtains UAE landing permission. Allow a few working days for international permits.
- Medicines: carry prescriptions and a doctor's report. CBD is banned, and some controlled medicines need a UAE permit in advance.
- Cash: declare more than AED 60,000, about $16,300, on arrival and departure.
- Customs: passengers clear immigration at the private terminal, then drive straight from the aircraft.
UAE pet entry rules for private jet travelers
Dogs and cats need an import permit from the UAE environment ministry, valid for 30 days. Pets need an ISO microchip and a rabies vaccination. Pets from the US also need a rabies antibody test; UK pets usually do not. The UAE limits imports to two pets per person per year and bans breeds such as pit bulls.
UAE rules treat imported pets as declared cargo, not baggage. On a charter, the operator and handler must accept the pet and complete the paperwork before departure.
Tell Hogani Jets about any pet at the quote stage, so the right operator is chosen.
Charter to Dubai is priced by the hour, by aircraft category. Long-haul trips add costs that short flights never see, and your quote shows them in one all-in price. Quotes for UK departures are also in US dollars, so the sterling cost moves with the exchange rate.
- Aircraft positioning: few ultra-long-range jets sit in New York, so one-way trips often include the aircraft's return.
- Crew rest: flights over about 12 hours may need an extra pilot, and crews need rest before flying home.
- Permits and overflights: landing permission in the UAE and overflight fees along the route.
- Daily minimums: 2 billed hours for super midsize and smaller, and 3 hours for heavy and larger jets.
- Season: winter is peak, and major events fill DWC's parking early.
- November to March: peak season, with warm days and the busiest ramps. Book three to six weeks ahead.
- April, May and October: shoulder months, hotter but quieter, with easier availability.
- June to September: highs often pass 40°C (104°F). Heat lengthens takeoff runs and can reduce payload on the longest westbound legs.
- Ramadan: dates move each year. Restaurant hours change, and visitors should be discreet eating or drinking in public during daylight.
Big events fill DWC early. The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix runs December 4 to 6, 2026, at Yas Marina.
The Dubai Airshow takes over DWC itself from November 15 to 19, 2027.
New Year's Eve and the Dubai World Cup in spring also bring heavy private traffic.
| Hotel | Area | Category | Notes |
| Bvlgari Resort Dubai | Jumeira Bay island | Resort and residences | Private island setting with a marina, beach and spa; quiet but close to the city. |
| Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach | Jumeirah | Beach resort | Low-rise beachfront resort with views of the skyline. |
| Mandarin Oriental Jumeira | Jumeirah | Beach resort | Beachfront resort between Downtown and the Palm. |
All three sit on the Jumeirah coast, about 35 to 45 minutes from DWC by car. Hogani Jets can arrange for a car to meet the aircraft at the private terminal.
- Burj Khalifa and Downtown: the world's tallest building, with observation decks and the Dubai Fountain below.
- Al Fahidi and the souks: old Dubai, with the Gold and Spice Souks across the creek by abra boat.
- Palm Jumeirah: beach clubs, restaurants and resorts on the man-made island.
- The desert: dune drives, falconry and dinner at a desert camp, an hour from the city.
- Scuba diving: allow at least 24 hours between your last dive and the flight home.
- Hot-air balloons and skydiving: early starts and weather holds, so avoid a tight departure the same day.
- Grand Prix and Airshow weeks: book parking and departure slots when you book the flight.
The UAE dirham is pegged to the US dollar. The weekend runs Saturday to Sunday. Alcohol is served in licensed hotels and restaurants. Dress modestly in malls and public places, outside hotel beaches and pools.
