Paris draws private jets for fashion weeks, board meetings, major sporting events and long weekends. Most arrivals come from London, Geneva and New York. Almost all of them use Le Bourget, the airport the industry calls the Teterboro of Europe.
- Skip Charles de Gaulle: Le Bourget handles business aviation only, with customs in minutes.
- Day trips from London: fly out for a meeting and be home the same evening.
- Onward to the Riviera: Nice, Cannes, and St. Tropez are about an hour further by jet.
Airport | ICAO / IATA | Runway | Distance to Paris | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Paris Le Bourget (MAIN) | LFPB / LBG | 9,843 ft (3,000 m) | 11 km north | Business aviation only. Three runways and several FBOs. |
Paris Charles de Gaulle | LFPG / CDG | Four long runways | 25 km northeast | Slots and prior permission needed. Mainly for airline connections. |
Paris Orly | LFPO / ORY | Three runways | 14 km south | Almost entirely commercial. Private flights need prior permission. |

Le Bourget accepts arrivals around the clock. Jet departures are banned between 22:15 and 06:00, except approved medical flights. Customs clearance takes about five to ten minutes inside the FBO. Plan the flight home to leave by 22:00 at the latest.
Le Bourget has several private terminals, including Signature, Jet Aviation, Dassault Falcon Service and Universal Aviation. Each has its own lounge, customs, and car access to the aircraft. The drive into central Paris takes 30 to 45 minutes, depending on traffic. The operator selects the FBO, and Hogani Jets confirms it in your trip details.
“ For London clients, Paris is a day trip. Wheels up at Farnborough at eight, meetings in the 8th by eleven, home for dinner. The only real deadline is Le Bourget's 22:15 departure cut-off.”

Which private jets fly New York to Paris nonstop?
Teterboro to Le Bourget is about 3,150 nautical miles. Heavy jets such as the Challenger 650 and Falcon 900LX fly it without stopping. A Praetor 600, with 4,018 nautical miles of range, manages it with a normal load. The Challenger 350 and midsize jets usually stop to refuel.
- Passports: every passenger needs a valid passport. Non-US citizens should check French and Schengen entry rules for their nationality.
- Passport validity: at least three months beyond your planned departure from the Schengen Area, issued within the last ten years.
- EES: non-EU visitors give fingerprints and a photo on first entry. The Entry/Exit System has been fully live since April 2026.
- ETIAS: visa-exempt visitors, including US and UK citizens, will need this €20 online approval once it launches, expected in late 2026.
- From the UK: London flights clear French immigration and customs inside the Le Bourget FBO.
- Cash: declare €10,000 or more when entering or leaving the EU.
Pets entering France need a microchip, a rabies vaccination, and a veterinary health certificate. Pets from the UK and US do not need a rabies blood test. France bans the import of Category 1 dogs, such as unregistered pit bull and mastiff types.
Tell Hogani Jets at the quote stage so the operator can approve the pet in the cabin.
Paris is a common first stop before the Côte d'Azur in summer. Nice is the main jet airport for Monaco and Cannes. St Tropez has its own small airport at La Môle, 15 km from town.
Can a private jet land in St Tropez?
Only small aircraft can. La Môle has a 1,180-metre runway ringed by hills, with no runway lights, so it operates only in daylight. Turboprops such as the Pilatus PC-12 are the usual choice. Larger jets land at Toulon-Hyères or Nice, then continue by car or helicopter.
- Event weeks: Paris Fashion Week, the French Open, and the Arc de Triomphe race weekend tighten availability.
- Paris Air Show: held at Le Bourget from June 14 to 20, 2027, with limited private parking that week.
- Daily minimums: 2 billed hours for super midsize and smaller, and 3 hours for heavy and larger jets.
- UK departures: Air Passenger Duty applies, with the highest rate on heavy jets of 20 tonnes or more.
- Waiting or returning: on a day trip, the aircraft waits; on longer stays, it may fly home empty.
Every Paris quote is hourly and shows one all-in price. Quotes are in US dollars, so the euro or sterling cost moves with the exchange rate.
Season | What Is Happening | Planning Tip |
|---|---|---|
January to March | Haute couture and ready-to-wear fashion weeks | Book early for show weeks. |

July to August | Quieter city, busy Riviera links | Easy Paris slots; Nice and St Tropez are the pinch points. |

Hotel | Area | Category | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
Four Seasons Hotel George V | 8th, near the Champs-Élysées | Palace hotel | Classic Golden Triangle address with Michelin-starred dining. |
The Peninsula Paris | 16th, Avenue Kléber | City hotel | Rooftop views of the Eiffel Tower, close to the Arc de Triomphe. |
Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme | 2nd, Rue de la Paix | City hotel | Steps from Place Vendôme and the jewelers. |
Mandarin Oriental, Paris | 1st, Rue Saint-Honoré | City hotel | Garden courtyard on Paris's fashion street. |
All four are about 30 to 45 minutes from Le Bourget by car. A driver can meet you at the aircraft.
- Louvre and Musée d'Orsay: book a private early or after-hours tour to avoid the crowds.
- Eiffel Tower and the Seine: a private evening cruise passes by most of the landmarks.
- Versailles: the palace and gardens are about 45 minutes from central Paris.
- Fashion streets: the flagship houses on Rue Saint-Honoré and Avenue Montaigne.
- Shopping trips: new purchases add real baggage, so size the aircraft for the return.
- Late dinners: plan the flight home to leave Le Bourget before the 22:15 jet cut-off.
- Major events: road closures on race days and national holidays can lengthen the airport drive.
Paris uses the euro, and French is the local language. Traffic between Le Bourget and the city is heaviest on weekday mornings. Many restaurants close in August, so book ahead.
